About
I’m Tom Ballard.
I build tools I want to use, share the source, and write about what I learn.
My background is in technical programme management, including work at Bloomberg and now Optiver. Outside work, I’m interested in making software easier to understand, change and trust.
That takes a few forms: native desktop apps, tools for coding agents, contributions to Omarchy, and Fixing Everything, where I’m documenting my own learning curve.
I like tools that expose their decisions and leave you in control. The projects here are my own independent work.

For bugs and feature ideas, the relevant project’s GitHub issues are the best place to start.
